Who not to forget

March 11, 2010

One person that I do not want to forget is my current girlfriend Kealey. I have known her for 5 going on 6 years and she is a person that I have shared so many different experiences with, and I don’t want those to go to waste by me forgetting her. I think that as i get older the experiences that we shared together will influence who I am because there have been so many things that we have done together its hard to imagine her not not changing who i am and who I will be. I also have never been in a relationship that i would consider serious until her, and the experience of that alone is invaluable. she has taught me so much about myself and about others that i think it would be an insult to myself and her if i were to forget her, that’s why I know I never will.

How we treat the elderly

March 9, 2010

In the United States things are much different than much of the world in terms of how we look at out elderly. I think we don’t treat them with the respect that they deserve because they have so much knowledge and so much experience that we are just throwing away. My problem is with retirement home and the fact that as soon as we think someone is too old we throw them into these places where they have no contact with the outside world really. We keep them there because we are all too lazy and busy with ourselves to care. In many other culture people respect the elderly and look to them for advice and for help because they have so much life experience. I think that we need to incorporate them into our society and maybe even our schools so that they can pass on their knowledge from their generation to the next. Think if you could have an elderly person come in and even just tell you about how their life was and what things used to be like. I think it’s important to know that things have changed and for us to know what things used to be like and know how they have changed.

This last year there were a lot of good movies that came out, but none of them really had the impact that Avatar had. I think Avatar was the best movie this summer because of how groundbreaking it was. The movie was in mind blowing 3D with a pretty good story that was easy to follow and kept you interested. Even if you didn’t really like the movie it was hard not to enjoy the 3D experience that it brought. this was one of the better 3D movies to ever come out, if not the best. This is a movie that i think everyone should have seen in theaters because really when it comes out on DVD it just won’t be the same.

P  I think you should always try to be the best that you can be.

R Just because you can’t be perfect doesn’t mean that you can’t be good.

E i don’t make every shot in basketball but i try to make as many as possible.

S So i just think you should try your hardest to be as good as you can be.

P You deserve to fail; Obviously you did a bad job.

R The homeworkd probably wasn’t done very well or wasn’t finished.

E I’ve turned in all my work and failed before and i know why.

S Just because you do all of your work doesn’t mean you deserve to pass.

P I don’t think he can sue for his own inability to read or write.

R It’s his own fault because he didn’t use his time right.

E THere are manuy high school graduates that don’t know how to read or write anymore.

S I just don’t think its right for him to sue for something that is his fault.

highschool football and drinking

January 28, 2010

Well for one, highschoolers can’t drink anyways but i think that every player should get one mess up. After that though i think that it is fair for them to be suspended for the whole season no questions. Even if it is the schools star player it doesn’t matter. Just because they are good at football doesn’t mean that they don’t have to follow the rules, it should matter to them just as much as it matters to a benchwarmer. If it didn’t matter then the star players could just do whatever they wanted with no consequences which wouldn’t be fair to everyone.
